Does anyone have an 83 or 84 with A/C that could look at the sticker on their evaporator core and tell me what the quantity of R-12 is supposed to be in the system? I believe to be accurate, I need the quantity of the 5.0 liter cars, preferably with the L69.

I went to the salvage yard today and looked their Camaros. The charge varied between 2.25 to 3.00 pounds. The early 80's tended to be on the high side and the late 80's were lower. There were also differences between the V6's and V8 cars too. Since the L69 hoses are different from the base 5.0 because of the L69 intake ducts, I'm thinking that might make a difference too.

Thanks for any help!

I would add refrigerant until the evap pressure leveled off at 30-32 PSI (equals 32°F- 34°F) and the suction line is sweating its butt off, if not frosting.
