I pulled off the secondary bowl off my Holley 3310 750 vs carb and of course the gasket tore. No big deal right, but the gasket is under the metering plate which is held on by some special screws that I dont have a tool for. They are not phillips, torx or other type that I recognize.

What tool do I need?

Thanks,
Mike

It is a special screw head snap-on or mac have that screw driver but you can modify a flat tip screw driver in a pinch. It should be the same head type that holds the accelerators pump on Holly Only go figure

Thanks Trevor, I ended up using a square drive bit I picked up at the hardware store.

Believe these screws are called "clutch-head" screws.... T.

One of these days they are going to run out of unusual designs for screw heads and a person can quit buying a new screwdriver every time they work on some new design. It seems that just when you think you have them all covered some tool engineer comes up with something a little different.

Got caught on these screws when I had a problem with 2/660 centre squirters.. Remembered after soooo many years... What's the weather like out there??? This morning here it is a mite coolish and it rained late last night giving way to a problem with a fat friggin' skunk diggin' up the front lawn in his endless quest for white worms "grubs". Sonn-ah-mahh-bee is supposed to be helping according to everything I have read, but the lawn looks "grubby" if yah know what I mean, eh??? Anyone out there in the 'Peg a lookin for a numbers 396+030 short block good for '68 encoded TO 911MY??? Finders fee to you... T.
