Have a 82 Z28 with a 350, carburated. The car starts but than dies right after but if i keep the throttle down it will stay running. Is it a fuel filter problem or a vacuum?

What have you messed with on the car lately?

I haven't done anything yet, I'm getting a new holly carb for it in about a week or two but nothing yet. It was running fine the night before than this mourning it just wont run.
