We have a new rule in the house after 5pm the business is closed, so i don't answer the phone or talk about work. It just brings on way to much stress because my wife is the boss in the office, I'm the boss in the field and its neutral ground in the home. We are very lucky with my business beings that we are 5yrs back logged but the scheduling is tough. But like i always say bushel and peck all around the neck. I thank my lucky stars and do give back when i can, like helping out others with employment and or donations for Autism. 1969ProStreetCamaro Jun 17th, 08, 06:39 PM Davis thanks it is awesome now. The Performance Clinic in Dayton,Oh. recorded the dyno tuning and burned it to a CD for me. When I return to OH. next week they are going to give me the CD. I will also try to remember to video tape the start up of the engine after the headers are installed. I'm gonna write myself a note so I don't forget. I'll also take my camera for some still shots to post. Dave, Let me be the first person to say "Welcome Back".What happened to you while you've been absent from the Forum? david calligan Jun 19th, 08, 02:54 PM OK, Heres the low down. I've been in a slump and didn't want to talk to much about it because of insurance reasons they know about TC because thats where they got the Photos for my car. I have been having problems with the brakes and it go's like this.I put a new master cylinder on the car and the rod was to tight after a small spin around the block with the wife I pulled up to the garage and my brother was sitting in a chair at the door so I stopped outside. I took the master cylinder loose from the firewall and was going to change the bracket and before doing so my brother said it looked like it was getting ready to rain so you know what happened from there,,,hint,,,no brakes chair, wall, cabinet I couldn't get it out of gear.I have to replace the pasenger side fender, lower fender, lower valence, bumper, and grill.I have all the parts, there hung and waiting for my buddy to help me line everything up he's just real busy at his new body shop to be able to get by to help.I only need him for about an hour, hopefully soon he will come over.My 14 year old son was the most depressed and that made me even more depressed he was really looking forward to going to OC.Thats another story in itself, my buddy that has the condo we were going to stay with his son was in a bad car crash and spent about a month in the hospital so it was kinda good that what happened to my car happened because it wouldn't have been to much fun for my buddy.I'm still here just kinda not real enthused right now it was dumb I know I'm not to smart to try and move a car with no brakes but hind sight is 20/75 or something like that.So this is my story and I guess I'm stuck with it,sorry to be so wordy but theres no short story here I only wish it were. 1969ProStreetCamaro Jun 19th, 08, 03:02 PM Dave, I know you've worked so hard on your Camaro and I feel for ya' dude:yes:. At least no one was injured during your ordeal. I can understand now why you haven't been on the Forums in awhile. What a bummer:sad:. I sincerely hope you get that Camaro back on the road very soon!!!! david calligan Jun 19th, 08, 03:30 PM Dave, I know you've worked so hard on your Camaro and I feel for ya' dude:yes:. I sincerely hope you get that Camaro back on the road very soon!!!! Thanks Dvae it wont be to long I hope.... prostreet69camaro Jun 19th, 08, 06:08 PM Hey David, It is good to here from you. Sorry about your car and luckily no one was hurt. It wont take long and it will be back together. SOOOOOOOO Let me tell you my story. Back when I had my 406 in my car I was doing a little dry hop burn out in the drive way. Well my throttle stuck. Those small tires on the front dont stop a car very good. I had little bitty skid marks thru my garage. My son and his buddy were in front of the car and just jumped out of the way. Here I come thru my garage. Mow down my tool boxes and the wall. I didnt realize it at the time but I knocked down the bricks on the outside also and it was right next to my gas meter. Just so happens my wife and her girlfriend are sitting in the garage as I go flying by. Once I stop my wife looks at me and says what the hell was that. I tell her the throttle stuck. So now I try to open my doors. The fenders are against the doors and they wont open. I stick my legs out and start kicking and they start making fun of me. I tell them the damn doors are stuck. So I finally get out of the car and grab a broom and start beating it on the floor. Hell, I had to take my temper out on something. Also when I hit my tool boxes the craftman just crushed. My Snap On did the most damage to my car. I had to replace both fender extensions and header panel. It bowed the back on both fenders so I had to do body work on them. It didnt hurt the hood though. I had to paint the whole front clip and ghost flames again. It was only 3 weeks till Super Chevy in Houston. I got it fixed in time for the show. My home owners insurance paid for my tool boxes and my wall. I paid to fix my car. Sorry so long a story but stuff happens and you get thru it. Also sorry to hear about your buddies son. Hopefully he is doing better too. I also changed my brakes and I am having master cylinder issues. ProdigyCustoms Jun 20th, 08, 03:29 AM Thats all! I have done WAY more stupid stuff then that! Some day I will tell you about draining the oil from the family van (the ONLY family van back then), Install the drain plug, Get out front under the van, dust myself off, the phone rings, get off the phone, and start the van, Wow this engine is noisey? I guess i never heard the engine with the engine cover off, Varoom!, Varoom< about 30 seconds or so, WOW, it is really noi.............................Oh ****, I forgot to put oil in.................. TOO LATE! For Christmas, my loving brother got me 5 quarts of oil! Don't sweat it. It will be fixed soon, no one got hurt. rat3j396 Jun 20th, 08, 05:35 AM I'm sorry to read about your misfortune, Dave, but again, as long as no one was injured, everything else can be rebuilt. As with Mike and probably everyone else, I also have had odd stuff happen. I had a '85 Camaro once that had a bad starter solenoid. I just got a speeding ticket (yea, I deserved it), and when I got back into my car it wouldn't start. I got out and got under the car and used a screwdriver to start it. HEY, it was in Drive! OOPs! I rolled out from under the car just before the rear wheels kissed my face, then, luckily the passenger side window was down, so I jumped head first into the car with my legs dangling out of the window. I threw it in Park, but it just kept going. I could hear the gears in the tranny clicking, but turning. After hitting my head on the steering wheel, I managed to press the brake with my right hand to stop the car. In the "panic" I didn't think to just turn off the ignition. I stopped the car, but it had already driven into a small culvert. I got out, and the people at the bus stop were laughing and clapping. Good thing the cop had already left. Anyway, good luck with the rebuild. Makes my ordeal sound wimpy it just pi$$es me off but I guess I'll get over it...Thanks Jerry.... prostreet69camaro Jun 20th, 08, 05:39 PM Yes David, you have to have a sense of humor about it. But at the time you think why the hell did I do that for. If I would have just turned the ignition key off maybe the car would have stopped before it hit the wall. But at the time you dont think about that. It is after the fact. Years from now you will laugh about it. I still get kidded about it. Skeeter55 Jun 20th, 08, 07:14 PM You guys are talking about bad luck..... Well as some of you know about my family problems, just when i thought we were all good. I decided to roll the Orange Crush off my 4-post lift and take here for a spin. Backed it out the garage and shut it off and noticed my hood has 4 dents in it right on the Cowl Induction, Thanks to my wife when we had the blow out two week ago she decided to clime up on the lift and bang on my hood. She denies it. So once again I'm a full blown sucker.:( I'm hopping the paintless dent guys can fix it and yes I'm lost for words and patience.. Take two steps forward and get knocked three steps back. Hepl me out. What the hell should i do. Skeeter55 Jun 20th, 08, 07:15 PM David sorry to here about your car... I almost forgot that i am now an official ProStreet member. As for my car.... A Dent Mender guy came out late yesterday and went to town on my hood. He performed a miracle and he spent 3.5 hours on it getting it just right and it was looking great... We lost the Sunlight and he was getting tiered, so he said that its looks 90% better and he will be back next week to finish... I was so happy to find out that i didn't need to repaint the hood, even though it was pretty screwed up and extremely hard to get access to work on the dents. He said that give him another 1.5 hours on it and it will lay down as flat as my paint. As for my wife.
