I want to add benches around the deck, and maybe even have them hang off the side a bit, all in trying to buy a little more space. I drew up some designs, but then I found these:

I built a deck for my sister several years ago and built her benches exactly like those. Don't waste $25 on those braces! You build those braces out of scrap that you'd otherwise trash, for the most part. And fwiw, those type seats are pretty comfy compared to ones I've built for my own decks over the years, lol.

They look like a quick, handy start to some nice benches. Do you have a Northern near you to pick them up, or will shipping add to the cost ? I wonder if Lowes or Home Depot have something similar ? 2 pair would add about ~ 6 ft ~ bench space......that would hold a few more butts......:D

Very nice and they save space to. I used them I couldn't find them when I was looking @ the local stores so I bought them on amazon.
