I just removed my original pitman arm from a 68 with Power steering. I can wiggle the stud of the pitman arm just a little.....does that mean its worn out? Thx.

The wiggle is hardly measurable I would say....less than 1/16 of an inch movement if I move it side to side.

It shouldn't move at all from side to side. I'd replace it as it will move more under load.

I would also replace it. It's been under there for 40 years most likely.
To me, any movement is too much for any front end joint.

Right b/c I meant almost no movement and tight to boot!
