I didn't touch the rockers on my car, so I didn't use any bracing since I kept the perimeter structure intact. Blocked up the rear frame rails over where the axle would be, jackstands at the front of the rockers. Spent some time measuring, leveling, measuring, leveling, .... the new floor went in fine, nothing shifted on me, but there's nothing else on my car right now so there's not a lot of weight. if you're going to do something with the rockers, I would think bracing is definitely in order.

I think I read the same article in that mag at the bookstore last week. Spent a lot of time talking about removing the old floor, but left a little to be desired for describing how the new floor went in. One tool I wish I had for removing the old floor... an air chisel. would have made much faster work of those spotwelds. cut out most of the floor just inside the factory spotweld flange around the outside, then air-chisel what's left of the floor off.
