I'm having trouble fitting my new deluxe door panels and need some advice.
My inner door glass guide seem to be in the way, preventing my door panel to fall properly into place.

This is the rear door glass guide..
Does this picture show the guide right side up? or upside down?
When mounted, should the little hook face up or down?

Right side up. The door panel hangs on the hook or bent up end.

Thank you Gary.. :beers:
That's the way I have them, but I must be doing something else wrong..
I found this pic in the '68-BbF manual (http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h142/_Ghostbuster/doorguts.jpg).
If the front curl is up, my door panel doesn't fit (drop in) as nicely as when the curl is down.
If I adjust it back (away from the glass), so the panel lip drops down over the curl, the guide seems to far from the glass.
Does anyone have a pic they can post?

I had the same problem with my 68 and ended up using my old guide and the panels lined up correctly. If you have your old guides put them side by side and you will see what I mean. Good luck Jerry

I had the same problem and after may hours I cut a small amout of the back of the panel off and it fits perfect. It does not affect the panel at all.

Thank you for the advice..
Now that I understand how they are supposed to fit, I see it's a bad panel.
I'm using the original glass guides.. (inner and outer)
I do have 3 different door panels..
Classic Industries ($350/pr.) - Don't fit at all, I laid the panel down and tried to pop the guide in, no way. I would have to grind the bump down in order to make it fit.
Al Knock ($600/pr.) - Popped right in, fit's great.
Original (most everything is rotted, but the metal lip still fits)- Popped right in, fits great.
