I am contemplating this color blue for my Camaro. I know that colors are hard to tell and may look different on the computer. The color I'm looking at in my mind for the Camaro I happened to find on the Internet on a photo of a 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400. Below is the website link to a photo of the Firebird Just by looking at the color, is there anyone out there who might be able to tell me the exact color they think it is, or at least make an educated guess? Any help would be appreciated. The link to the photo is ...

I don't recall the name of the color. As a matter of fact, I never knew the name of the color, however, I did own a 68 "Bird" that color. It was a form of turqouise. Why'll the photo shot makes it look nice, I wasn't really happy with mine and I couldn't do a thing about it because it had the same color interior. As I recall, in the sun, it is much lighter. I did manage to yank the poncho mill and install a SB 350, built like an LT-1 (of the old days). MAN! What a screamer and I kept the stock poncho badges. You can check any local auto paint store and they may be able to help you or a Pontiac dealership body shop. ;)

Looks to be "Alpine Blue". Same color as "Grotto Blue" on a Chev. DuPont # is 4892.

Thanks guys. You're right, Panther. It also looks very much like the Marina blue that I recall seeing on a lot of SS Chevelles back in the late 1960s. I'm not familiar with the Alpine or Nordic blues, but I'll write them down and check it out at a body shop. Thanks again.
