My original steering column with console shift was destroyed before I got the car. I am trying to find a used column and secondary shaft and was wondering if the steering columns from 70 - 81 are interchangable? I know that most of the parts for those Camaros are. Will a truck column and secondary shaft also work in my '72 RS???

Steering columns 1969 through 1978 will interchange. The connection from the steering column to the intermediate steering shaft changed in 1979. However, I think that after 1978 you could still use the steering column as long as you used the later intermediate steering shaft as well.
