I don't want to mess this up. I have a 68 vert and I'm removing the entire upholstery. on the side of the rear quarter panel the part that has the window crank in it. How do I remove it? I have the screws out and the crank off. It pulls away but is sticking up at the top. Do I just pull it out and up or is there somewhere I haven't disconnected it yet?
Also what is the lower part with the ash tray in it called? I would think something like rear arm rest. I see covers for coupes but nothing else so far. Does no one make a complete unit? Does it have to be recovered and does no one make a convertible cover?

The part the window crank is in has no screws. It hooks over the top of the window frame (the inner fuzzy is attached to it and will come out with it.) The window needs to be down or itsa beetch to get off. There is a flap of vinyl that wraps around the door opening pinchweld in the front of it, the windlace needs to come off first to release that.
D&R calls the part where the window crank is "quarter panel" http://www.drclassic.com/catalog/Camaro/Interior/FI0008-BLK.html
The refer to the arm rest part as the armrest (lol)
And the top rear section as the "well cover" http://www.drclassic.com/catalog/Camaro/Interior/FI0515-IVYGOLD.html

What is the windlace? I have already removed that piece of vinyl that covers the pinchweld. I don't remember anything from keeping me from pulling that off. It sounds like I'm ready to just pull the whole panel straight up off the metal. I think I'm going to run out to Bestbuy and pick up a digital camera so I can post pics first. I'll check this thread when I get back.
I got them off. Both sides did have a screw at the end of the rubber fuzzie track. After I rmvoed them it just lifted off. I'm guessing that screws not standard?
