been talking to a few guys here about stripping paint off my '68 project car. I was all ready to get a soda blaster and go to town but have now decided that may not be a way to go. so, what can I expect to pay to have a car stripped of the paint. I did some initial scraping and pretty sure it's just one coat on there now. thanks!

That really all depends on how much paint is there and what method you use to strip. If the paint isn't that thick, and you don't mind doing it yourself, you can strip an entire shell for < $50 in stripping disks and a good 4 1/2 grinder.

An average price for a media blaster is $.75 - $1.00 per minute in this area. Their methods will usually very depending upon what paint is on the car and what condition the metal is.
