Hey I'm Glyndon, I live northeast of Dallas, Tx. I work at O'Reilly Auto as a parts specialist and am in college for flight training. I drive a 96 Camaro RS.. Ya it's a V6 3800 unfortunately. The motor has held up for the 24000 miles I have had it and it runs strong for 6 ponies under the hood. My modifications are K&N Intake, 8.8MM spiral core wires accel, Flowmaster 80 series, iridium plugs I guess... I really haven't done a whole lot because I don't have the money or desire to upgrade a V6 some of you may understand. Nice meeting everyone, looking forward for a lifetime here lol. Once I blow up my V6, im selling the car for scrap even though I'm attached to it, and Im going to get a 97-02 LS1 Z28.

Heres a few pictures of my car, and an exhaust video.

Oh and I didn't romp on it because my timing chain is just miles from going out probably lol, and the v6 sounds like a weedwhacker above 3500 rpm.

Glyndon you defiantly came to the right place if you do hurt the weed whacker V-6....Dose that have 24,000 or 240,000 miles on it. Because if it has 240,000 on it looks like you've taken very good care of it. But if it has 24,000 why would the timing chain be a problem.

There is some guys here that have a hole lot of knowledge, just ask a question next thing you know, heres your answer.

I asked a few questions in the tech forum, the clattering noise that sounds like a bearing, im thinking is a stretched timing chain, i put the monitor we have at work for engine readings and my timing advance is jumping around like crazy, I know it will jump around a few degrees but im talking 15 degree variations at idle, so idk. The car is in excellent shape with a few normal rattles and such, too bad it wasn't blessed with an LT1 or LS1.
