National Parts Depot (NPD) has held an All-GM show in October at the beautiful Silver Springs park in Ocala, Florida for the last two years. Both years have seen almost 500 cars enter the park, and there were many clean examples of GM's early and late from bone-stock to highly modified. We now have our 3rd annual GM show in the works, and it will take place on Saturday October 4th 2008.

Just for some background, NPD has held a Mustang and Fords show in January at Silver Springs, a nature theme park in Ocala, Florida, for the past 14 years. We've always experienced great turnouts for this show (over 1,100 cars in 2008), plus the attraction of having other things to do besides check out the cars, such as glass-bottom boats to check out the natural springs, a kids petting zoo, and more. Check out www.silversprings.com (http://www.silversprings.com/) for more on the park and all its attractions.

The first 1,000 cars to pre-register by September 27th 2008 will receive free entry into the park for car, driver and one passenger.
Any entry registering after September 27th, the day of show or beyond the 1,000-car threshold may purchase the show package for $18.00 per car, which still includes passes for driver and one passenger. PLEASE NOTE: If you are planning to attend but not show a car, you'll be subject to the standard park entrance fee of $33.99/general, $24.99 for children ages 3-10.

Registration is available for all GM models early or late, as well as all GM-powered street rods and exotics. To check out the registration form, rules, classes and other information online, go to www.npdlink.com/modules.php?name=Silver_Springs (http://www.npdlink.com/modules.php?name=Silver_Springs) and click the “Oktoberfest” banner for a pdf file of the form. Print it out and mail it in!

Representatives from High Performance Pontiac, Super Chevy and Chevy High Performance will be in attendance at this event as well.

Shoot me an e-mail at dputnam@npdlink.com (dputnam@npdlink.com) if you have any questions.

Friday activities! :D

Based on requests and the success with the cruise and dyno day for the Ford & Mustang show, we will also host a cruise to Cedar Key (beginning and ending from NPD’s main warehouse in Ocala) and dyno day on Friday October 3rd! The cruise will leave NPD between 9:30-9:45 AM. Cars begin assembling at 8 AM. Please arrive at NPD’s parking-lot fueled-up, and ready to go. Upon our return to NPD from Cedar Key (we typically have lunch on the water at Cedar Key), the opportunity to tour/browse NPD’s extensive private car and truck collection will be available, and VMP Tuning will be on-hand with their mobile Dynojet chassis dyno. Participants can make two pulls with A/F ratio for $60. The highest pull will receive a goodie bag from NPD.

Update!

We've surpassed 500 pre-registered of last Thursday August 7th.

Currently we have 65 Camaros registered, but I think we have room for a couple more! http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif Love to see them, whether stock or modified, early or late model!

We have 884 pre-registrations this year (a 90 car bump up from last year), but keep in mind we welcome day of show registrations as well! The weather looks promising at this point so we look forward to seeing everyone there (please remember don't be late and please don't cut it close, as Silver Springs insurance regulations state we must have everyone inside and no cars moving by the park gate's opening for spectators at 10 a.m.). :D

That was a sweet 2nd gen, glad you had a good time! :)

Hope to meet more of you next year (work keeps me moving around the park quite a bit)!
