Anyone ever bought a gas tank from NPD? Thinking of buying one but not sure which one to go for. They have 2 different tanks - one canadian made which will cost me +$120 and the "original one" costing abt $320.

Anyone ever tried the less expensive one? Anyone ever bought a tank tha fit right in, but didn't cost an arm and a leg?

:beers:

I just got the Canadian one last week for my 67 from Ground Up, It is a very nice tank. I plan on putting a sump in it though.

Canadian one fits fine, its out of site too. I coated mine with 2 coats of POR clear paint to seal the original finish ;)

Is the original tank NOS? or at least a 100% factory accurate reproduction? If not, I can't see anyone justifying the cost.

Thanks for all the answers, guys! I have a hard time justifying the cost if the less expensive one fits good. The money "saved" will pay for a new trunk lid!

I really like what you did with your tank, Jim. That will be the way I go.
Did you get all the add-ons too? (straps, pads etc?)

Thanks again everyone!:thumbsup::beers:
