View Full Version : Anyone use Dynacorn sheetmetal parts - pros and cons? tgifford5 Jun 5th, 08, 10:14 AM Just wondering if anyone has used the 69 camaro body parts by Dynacorn? Likes or dislikes. Issues? 68IslTeal Jun 5th, 08, 10:23 AM I didn't realize they sold parts seperately. I thought they just sold preassembled shells. tgifford5 Jun 5th, 08, 10:25 AM Well I saw some inner fennders on ebay and ask the seller if the were OER, Goodmark etc. He said they were Dynacorn. lhend50 Jun 5th, 08, 02:35 PM Dynacorn sells the same stuff as goodmark, actually they have a few parts that I have not seen listed with goodmark. My understanding is they are all stamped by one factory and distributed by several retailers. To answer your question, I have fenders that are in Goodmark boxes and others in Dynacorn boxes and they are exactly the same quality. Most of the time I buy Dynacorn boxed parts only because I have a friend who sells them, but in my opinion one is just as good as the other. Winch Jun 5th, 08, 07:13 PM I was just told almost all sheetmetal is actually made by Golden Legion in China I think. Then repackaged as Goodmark or Dynacorn or whatever. One exception is the "American Made" convertible quarters that I've heard are stamped with the original dies but because those are so worn out they are inferior to the Golden Legion repops. guccieng Jun 5th, 08, 08:21 PM let's face it: original gm replacement panels still needed to be worked, just like the repops. i've got the 'non-american' sheet metal on my 69, but it did have fitment issues that needed massaging (which means costs more). the good part is that the steel is high quality and the panels are heavier gauge than the originals. at this point in the game, with our cars hitting 4 decades old, we have to deal with the good and the bad. i don't think the repops are that bad. |
