I am in the process of installing a new 9in rear in my 67. My question is will I have to fab a new driveshaft or will my stock one work? (As far as length) And also does anybody know the U joint part# I will need to go from my driveshaft to a 9in yolk? Assuming that my driveshaft is original.
Thanks

You'll need to short the driveshaft. You ought to switch to 1350 ujoints at the same time too.

You need to know what yolk is on the 9". It is best if it would be a 1350 series, then you could get a custom driveshaft built much stronger using 1350's for both U-joints. 1330's are decent also. If you have enough power that you need a 9", you need to upgrade the driveshaft along with it. After the rear is installed, you need to measure for correct driveshaft length. Denny's Driveshafts (http://www.dennysdriveshaft.com/html/how_to_measure.html) has very good products if you don't have someone local to work with. Use diagram "B" for measuring instructions and check out the FAQ's page for some good info that will answer a lot of questions you may have.
