Okay, I have a question? After a year and a half of accumulating pieces, my 'budget' rebuild is back in the engine compartment.
Here's the question.... I salvaged the cam from the old motor, a comp 280H. I liked the way it wound with a torker II intake, but I have a short stall speed (1000 over stock) automatic with a transkit in it (TH350).
I'm running exhaust friendly '993' castings with a 75cc chamber, headers and 2 1/2 inch duals with a crossover pipe. Mufflers are cherry bomb turbos. I have had the heads worked, with new springs, seals, and milling.
I changed to a GM aluminum manifold, for more low end with the edelbrock 600. This seems to give better throttle response, and better low end.
Will this manifold work with this cam, do i need 1/6 rockers, a smaller cam, or more stall speed? Compression should be in the 9.4 - 9.7 to one range.
By the way, a budget rebuild turned into over 2 grand real fast, I'd hate to leave it on the street. Just because it's in doesn't mean it stays in.
Any help would be appreciated.
