Hi. I have a hurst competition plus shifter that my neighbor tells me is from a 69 camaro his uncle had. It has all the right numbers,pat. no.3216274,body #3138,and has the snap in yoke and handle #5325. My question is what are the correct cam numbers?
Here are the cams i have: 4298,4299,and 4300

Also the rods that were attached to it don't have any numbers stamped in them. Does that mean they are not originals?

Will need to see a picture of the shifter to tell if it is a 69 Camaro shifter.

Does the shifter have the large offset neck?

The numbers such as the body #3138 is just for that stamped part and it was used on many OEM Hurst shifters

The chrome stick #5325 is correct

Looks like the real deal to me.

looks like a 1968 Firebird Hurst shifter.
It is the same as 69 Camaro small block shifter except for the trans arms.
Your shifter has the small slot trans arms for a 1968 Muncie that will not fit a 69 Muncie trans

Also the trans mount plate is missing and the rev trans arm is missing
