Is the heater box (inside piece that holds the heater core) the same for 67,68 and 69?

John,
A guy on Yenkos.net said that he found the big block heater box to be about 1/4" wider than the small block one. Seems crazy that GM would have two, so similar, but I don't know. Can you shed some light?

I rebuilt my 69 heater box and converted from a SB to a BB. The only diff i could see was the heater core.

I think the main difference is that on a BB the heater hose connections go right through the middle of the cover (so there are 2 large holes), SB they are outside the box on the engine side.
