View Full Version : 67 Rs
BelAirBob Jun 21st, 08, 01:17 PM Hey guys. 67 RS. Needs paint. Has drum brakes and PS and a deluxe interior that is decent. Some pinholes around the windows in the door corners, but a real matching #s RS with console gauges. If it was a simple scuff and repaint, I'd be all over it normally, but in the current market, just not sure if its worth what he's asking needing the paint and all...My thought was $15K. Am I light or too heavy?
Opinions please?

ocean1 Jun 21st, 08, 02:09 PM If that was here in so cal I would pick that up for 15k. Wish the pictures were bigger. Here the prices seem still okay. Im sure you will get the offer far less but without a look over of the car or better pictures its hard to say. Are you going to keep it until the market recovers or sell it? If your gonna sell it clean up engine Macco the paint and flip it in So Cal. Theres a place in Escondido shipping them over seas for 22k plus in just a bit better condition (paint and engine detail). The shows in El Cajon have decent coupe amature resto for 18-24k no RS options.

Bob, it is really hard to tell with the pics he has. I guess he has it financed, and is looking to pay off the loan? I'm with you, unless it turns out to be super clean he may not get $17.5K right now. Have you seen the car? At least it isn't Capri Cream....:)
rafbody Jun 21st, 08, 04:20 PM Easy on the Capri Cream. I have a twin to Bob's car.
Fuzzyhall Jun 21st, 08, 06:12 PM Bob, I personally know that car because the shop I worked for in beaver falls PA (www.bladesrodshop.com) or http://www.bladesrodshop.com/store/mcart.php?ID=31sold it to who i'm assuming the seller. The seller was not satisfied with the car at all and I know there were lots of issues between the dealer and buyer.
I think it needs more work that the person thought. I would personally go inspect the car if you were serious. $15K sounds about right from what I have heard.

AMEN! :):):):D Not Capri Cream....Its blue!.... Fuzzy, thanks for the heads up. I'll investigate some more. He told me he needed to sell it, but that he had to stick by his guns at $17,500,because thats what he owes on it. I figured a repaint would be at least $3K even if I did it myself. I'd also want to add disc brakes and AC for those wonderful Atlanta Summers. Not looking to flip, but to buy a decent driver for the right money.
