i would suggest not using thread sealer but instead use gasoline sealant compound, can be found at local auto part store.

There is an old aircraft mechanic around here that would chew someone out if he caught them using any tyoe of sealer on tapered or flare type of fittings.

-AN (and any other flare seat fittings) niether need nor desire ANY sealant of any kind.

sealant on the NPT fittings. No sealant on flares ever.

Just like eville said. Use liquid teflon sealant on the NPT threads and none on the AN taper fittings.

That is correct. Usually no sealer, but if NPT leaks it is acceptable to use sealer ,it also prevents the threads from getting buggered up.
I am an aircraft mech.
if the 37 degree flares do leak, sometimes we use connicle seals, or AP-50 seals. They can be made from aluminum, stainless steel, copper & so on.

When I installed mine if I remember correctly the manufacturer said to WD-40 on the threads. No sealant!

I dont think you are supposed to use tape on AN fittings.
