Wondering what this is worth. I've had this since 1989.

Like the title says, it's a JH coded late '68 dated block.

Has std/std steel crank, 3/8" connecting rods, TRW L2242 forged pistons, comp cams 302H magnum hydraulic camshaft, double roller timing chain, 14011077 "C-port" Aluminum heads (118cc chamber), GM performance pats 1.7:1 roller rockers, and the correct L78 intake (but some fool ground off the part numbers).

No carb or distributor.

Thoughts?

Is there a partial VIN stamped on her ?

Cuz, it would be worth a whole lot more if you found the car that it originally went to!

Date is C 69 - Partial VIN is 445239
Block Casting # is 3955272

I know that this could be either a Nova or Camaro, but I believe that the JH code was only offered with a 4 speed?

That's a 69 Nova VIN.

I'd be interested in a picture of the pad.

Price depends on the condition too........

Curious...How do you know that it's a Nova?

Camaro VIN would have started with a 5 (LA built) or 6 (Norwood Built), not a 4. Should have a 9W infront of it as well

Actually the numbers are preceeded by 19W (445239). Does that mean it's for a Nova? Not that I doubt your expertise, but can you point me to any publications that back up the fact that it's for a Nova?

I really appreciate your feedback! Thanks!

In 1969 the Willow Run assembly plant only made Nova's (and about 6000 Corvairs) (ie thats all they made). They also made them there in 67 and 68, and in 66 the made them in Oshowa Canada, Willow Run and Norwood OH. Is that clear enough, and yes I feel you are questioning my knowledge.

To paraphrase Kurt....In 69, Willow Run only made Novas and a few Corvairs. He did not mean that the only year that Novas were made at Willow Run was 1969.
