Hey guys was driving around yesterday and realized my pedal doesnt have enough play in it to kick the 4 bbls on.. anyone know how to adjust the gas pedal on a 69 camaro right now it bottoms out at the floor and i still need about another 1-2" for full throttle

It's original linkage, right? Here's mine in a vise being serviced. The small part of the shaft nearest the camera is threaded. It screws in and out for adjustment. It's shown all the way in.

There's a collar like piece of hardened plastic on my '68. Two screws mount it to the firewall, visible only from under the hood. The screws came lose once and limited my pedal travel. If 69s are like 68s, worth a quick peek and a jiggle to make sure it's solid......

You might have to remove your pedal and bend it farther away from the floor. Have fun getting it out due to your motor is in the way.

The rod behind the throttle pedel fatques, and bends..
It doesnt take much to bend it back up in the car...jamb a peice of wood on the engine side of the forewall to take any pressure off the carb, then bend back.
I got sick of mine fatquing so made a new rod out of stainless.
BUT 1st check on the fire wall side, the throttle linkage attaches to it on a spline, ..its a bitch to get at....it may have been reassembled in the wrong place.

And I've removed mine with the engine in place (BBC) so it can be done. Just don't ask for details. It was 1972.
