Last night i bought a bracket for my kick down cable, as i was in the middle of hooking it up, the end part of the kickdown cable that hooks to the carb, broke off!!!!! my dad said the previous owner must have just bend it a little too much......My question is, my dad said we can just put a few tackwelds on each side, and weld it back on........Will this work?

I'd buy a new one. They aren't expensive ($15-ish)

They price isn`t really the biggest part, its the fact that they are a pain to install, and i just got the car ready to drive, so i don`t wanna pull the trans now. I`ll eventually put a new one in, but for now i just wanna weld it up. Does anyone see a problem with welding it back on?

they aren't that hard to install- just that the little "Z" shaped rod thingy in the tranny can be a bear when it's in the car. but really not too bad. I'd just get a new cable and be done with it.
and to show a pic from webshots, you need to go the address where the public can view your pics and right click on the pick and copy and paste the address from the "properties" menu. your links are to the page where only you can go and re-arrange the pics or whatever.
these are the pics i think you are linked to
(might have to right click and paste the properties into your browser- my old puter only works on these particular links that way for some reason)

Also, eventually i am gonna do the new cable, however i wanna bring the car to the track on sunday and just drive it around, so i want a quick fix, im hoping tommarow to get the exaust done and get this welded up, I was just wondering if anyone had any concerns about welding it or any other better sugestions....

If your dad can weld it, it should be fine. On a t350, if the weld breaks, you aren't in danger of toasting the trans as you would be with a 700R4 or 2004R.
It's really a pretty simple job to replace it, though.
