Hi All,
I took off my driver's side valve cover after hearing an unusual amount of knocking from that side of the engine.
The exhaust valve rocker nut on the #7 cylinder had come loose, forcing the arm off the spring.
I didn't have another nut, so I simply re-installed the (old) nut, reset the lash, and put the cover back on.
Guess what happened in about 10 miles of driving?
You guessed it, nut loosened again and the rocker was off to the side.
I ordered some new nuts because a 7/16 tapered lock nut isn't easy to find where I live.
Until these arrive, can I either double nut the offending rocker arm and/or loctite it to the stud after another lash adjustment?
Thanks
