: Fuel line routing from pump to carb, need photos???

So I am in the process of rerouting and upgrading my fuel line from the mechanical pump to the carb. I am running into fitment issues with all the pieces I need to use.

I need to run a fuel regulator and I have that coming right off my dual inlet piece from BG. From theee I need to come down the mechanical pump but I have a long water pump and alternator is on the passenger side. In this line I also need to run a Billet filter as well.

I want this to be a show quality setup. I have all new polished AN fittings and Billet filter.

Can somebody send me some photos of a real nice looking setup??

Thanks, Erik

you can make one yourself, this was one of my first attempts. When I have time, I'm going to make new brake lines.

So after running to Jegs three times and buying new -8AN fittings. I have the new line ran from the mechanical pump up to the carb. I am not super happy with it but it looks ok. My problem is not having enough room for a regulator and a fuel filter all in there around the alternator.

let me ask this: How close to the mechanical pump can a fuel filter be? Right now I come off the pump with a 90* elbow to the hose then a hose fitting into the filter then another hose fitting back into the hose then another 90* elbow up into the fuel regulator. It would be cool if I could just use a -8AN 90* with AN fittings on both ends and connect the filter right to the pump. I don't know if that is too close to the pump or not.

I need suggestions. I can get a pic tonight of what I did.

Thanks, Erik

Here are a couple of pics of my Hard line from the pump to the carb. It is a 1/2 aluminum line with -8 AN "B" nuts for the connections.

Yeh, I had to get a new photo hosting company. Not sure what happened. I don't know if I like the routing or not. Those are Jegs polished fittings and they suck! The are so soft its scary. The Earls and Russells have a anodized coating on them that makes them harder. That is jegs fuel line and its real shiney as well. Also I just don't like where the line is. I know the placement is good for keeping the fuel cool but I just don't like how it sticks up and out.

Hey Erik, what fuel pump are you using?

I am running the Edelbrock Victor series 130gph one. It requires a fuel regulator.

Yes, looks good to me. You could have the filter down by the f/pump to avoid being close to the alt. But present set-up looks good to me.

I think it looks good also Erik. If you wanted the filter down closer to the pump you could come out the pump with a pipe to flare hard 90 with a female flare swivel so you can screw the filter on. Then hose all the way to the regulator.
