Everything depends on quality of components and how it was put together. I've no problems running a Mechanical Roller on the Street and Cruising with Crower HIPPO Lifters (Isky Red Zone are also recommended) but they are expensive. The 12 Bolt will handle the torque of the engine if it to is in good shape.

If you are considering buying, I hope you have some mechanical skills or know a Gear Head with talent and the cash for gas. :o)

A roller cam is more reliable on the street, which is why almost every single newer vehicle uses them or over head cams

WHOA! Isn't that 572 a GEN Mark V BBC. The lifter bores are designed and trued for hydraulic rollers. I can't see any problems running a Mechanical Roller in that engine as compared to Retro fitting a Flat Tappet Engine like the BBC Mark IV for a Roller Cam; however, I strongly advise using a HIPPO lifter if you intend to use the car on the street or cruise with it.

The 572 is also a tall deck block which opens a new set of issues such as exhaust system, hood clearance, ....

I saw one go in a 69 Casmaro and the distributor was real close to the fire wall. But boy did it look sweet in there. It was at mikescustomcars.com under finnished projects Howard Stalls end of first or beginning of second set of albums . My car is current projects.
