View Full Version : 70 Challenger R/T...
69camcon Jun 30th, 08, 09:25 AM I've always loved the 69 Camaro (lucked out into a Vert) but the runner up has been a Challenger and found one that I had to pickup.
It's a real 1970 R/T with a 383 in it. The current 383 is out of a 68 Roadrunner and is very healthy, new tranny, newer paint. Needs exhaust and front seat covers and some detailing (Freaking Mopar parts are not like Chevy parts...yeesh!)
Now I'm not a Mopar pro but I saw the superbee post and thought some guys would know more about prices. The online price guides tend to be off and eBay is all over the place. I'm trying to get a price range for insurance purposes.

Chevy-SS Jun 30th, 08, 01:20 PM Very nice, but I think I'd be more tempted to pick up a brand new one, especially since it looks so similar to this!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck with it (if you buy it, that is).

Nice car post us or email me some more pic's when you get it home.
What was the difference between the special edition hardtop r/t and the plane r/t if you know.
Bob
johnnysalami Jul 2nd, 08, 08:38 AM The Special Edition R/T had the vinyl roof, the smaller rear window(which was stationary), leather/vinyl buckets, overhead console with the low fuel, door ajar and seatbelt lights and various minor trim changes. The most obvious visual aspect of the Special Editon R/T was the much smaller rear window.
