Last summer I almost traded my 68 camaro for a 66 GTO. I am once again looking a working a deal. I have a problem in I like everything from the muscle car era.

What are your opinions on this 66? I may work a deal with him. Mine is a newer restoration but I don't have a build sheet, his does. It was a WS block tri power from factory and now has a WW block with the original tri set up.

Does this look like a fair trade? Thoughts?

I'm no expert on GTOs ,but the big body style turns me off. Now a 68 -69 vert .....now your talking. I would rather have your 68 camaro  than the car on ebay. But you asked on a camaro site . So what did you expect:D

'66 is the last year for tri power so that is a plus. So is the 4 speed. Minus the original block is a negative. GTO's are coming up in value.

That "build sheet" looks like the invoice sent out from PHS (Pontiac Historical Services) anyone can get those for their Pontiac. It helps prevent fraudulent GTO's from being sold but is not an unique item.

It looks clean...I don't know your car but unless it is a a Z or an L-78 I'd say his car is fetching more than your car would (at the current bid of $45K)...will he trade straight across?

45k was actually the starting bid. It didn't receive any bids for that amount. My car is on my sig: putfile.com/tclovis

I don't have a build sheet but I do know it was a big block SS car.

I'm leaning on not doing it anyway now. My wife has grown a little attached to my camaro and that is a good thing (more parts and shows). Thanks for your input though.

You're right - no bids. I would have thought $45K seemd a little hihg but Ithought someone was willing to pay it...

I also just realized that he is only like 30 minutes north of me. I don't recognize the car though and I was just at an all Pontiac show in February

Flowjoe,

Did you happen to see it at the Downtown Disney show a few weeks back? I has link to it on the add.
