For some reason I don't have deep pulley on my car 1969 Z28 and I went to put the deep groove on, the crank pulley is 1/4" longer then the one thats on there. The water pump is the same so it throws the belt out of aliment, or is that the whey it is to be? Please help.

all the pulleys should be deep groove - w/p, crank, alt, p/s, a/p sounds like one isnt correct though they have part number stamped on them so check them out and see what isnt correct, hope this helps

Reproduction pulleys are about that much too long. You aren't the first one with that problem. If you complain to whoever you bought it from, they're gonna say "You're the first one to complain about it", the first one today that is.....

Do you have a deep groove water pump pulley also? They have a reinforcement/spacer that mounts between the waterpump shaft and the pulley. That might get you exactly where you need to be in relationship to the crank pulley. How does the alternator pulley line up relative to the other two?
