Hey guys,
My buddy had me list his vette' and I was curious to see if anyone has recently purchased/sold a vette like this and how much it is worth.

I can get a '69 ragtop L48 4-speed triple black 'Vette for 30K so take it from there. Harder to find a '69 L48 4-speed triple black ragtop Camaro at the same price!

This car is very nice looking, but it is very far from original. They did not make black Corvettes in '76. These cars usually sell in the $8-$12K range. The $12K cars are usually clean and numbers matching.
What is the reserve on this one?

No comparison here. A chrome bumer vert????????? Maybe divide by three and hope. Looks nice but demand is everything.

He is hoping to get 10-11K for it. We'll see what the bids get up to. Not much action yet. I find it interesting they didn't make black vette's that year.

For some strange reason they never made black vettes from 70 - 76. Since there probably will not be a bidding war on this car, I recommend listing the reserve and a buy it now price. If someone is looking for a nice looking Corvette, that doesn't know alot about them, they might bite.

That's what I mean - if you can get a black '69 'vert for 30K then subtract from there.

You didn't mention the 1980 rear bumper in your description. If it is the hard fiberglass version that might detract from the sale as well. I think you would have to have the right buyer to get anything close to 10k.

Like all Corvettes, I'm sure your friend has way-more into it than he will ever get out of it. Since prices for parts on non-chrome bumper vettes are just as expensive as the 68-73's, it makes it all the harder to re-coup the costs. In any case, it's a sharp looking car. Personally, I'd try selling it here first:

Set the price you want, and wait...Not as quick as Ebay, but the right buyer might be willing to pay your price, and the ad runs until the car is sold, AND no excessive Ebay fees. Just one price $19.95! Good luck - Mark
