well, so far no luck looking for a used 12 bolt that'll fit in my car. So far the specifics are it hased to be a Car 12 bolt, i'll even consider ones that are longer then 67-69 camaro, and i'll have it cut. I'm not looking to pay a fortune for a rear all at once, i would like to buy a unit (it it has a posi, gear set, fits my car that great!) that i can build part by part, instead of paying for the entire deal at once.
Do any of you guys have 12 bolts for sale? used is fine, as long as its in good shape. i dont car if its too wide, as long as it can be cut down. (if its too short thats bad.)

Chris Alston makes ford 9 inch center sections that fit right where the 12 bolt should go.

There are several "Dealers" listed in Hemmings but they have a firm grip on them and they want lots of money to let go.

CNC, I have 68 Camaro 12 bolt that I might be willing to part with. I will warn you, it will not be cheap!

You will save on shipping, Heck, I might even deliver it with my truck, I used to live in Trenton, so I know the area well.

It is a 68 date, 3.08 non posi code. It was rebuilt many moons ago by Bittner Automotive in Trenton (have receipt) and never put in a car. I have since picked up perfect date coded one for my SS. I have to take the 3.55 gears and posi out of the 68 one and put it into the 69 one. The 69 one has a 4.10 posi, that I can sell you too if you want.

Let me know. Kevin

My friend has one out of a 66 or 67 Chevelle, you would have to change everything around. But it has the same demensions of a 69. 50 and 1/2" I think.

I will ask him "whats up"

He said that he would sell it, but I think he is wanting top dollar for it.

He asked me what I sold mine for, and I just shrugged.

Last spring I sod a 12 bolt out of a 70 1/2 camaro for 500. So I am assuming he will want close to the same.

I will keep at him and see.

I did a quick search for a '69 Chevelle at www.car-part.com (http://www.car-part.com) and turned up 8 across the country. You might want to check it out. By searching for a Camaro, it turned up one bare housing with laddr bar setup for $501!! Ouch!

You know, I have one (for a '68 Camaro) that I was thinking about selling, and I was going to put it on E-bay, but I'm not sure how to pack it for shipping. I'm sure it would have to be palletized somehow, as these things are heavy. And then it's a matter of having a trucking company come out to your private residence and pick it up... I wonder how these guys on E-bay pack and ship rear-ends, tranny's, engines, etc...

Guys don't take this wrong but the forums are not for buying and selling parts. I should have checked in sooner but I guess I just missed this one.

Not a major deal but when you ask "Do you have a XXXX for sale" it can turn into a lot of "I've got one for $$$" and "there's one for $$$ at so and so's" and it's all good for the persons involved but it clutters the forums for others.

Al went to a great deal of trouble to buy and install software just for want ads and for sale item ( www.camaros.net/ads (http://www.camaros.net/ads) ) so the forums would stay techinical in nature.

Thanks guys...
