What is the correct steering wheel emblem for the 1968 SS Camaro with the deluxe steering wheel? The steering wheel I am refering to is one like the one in the Ebay auction linked below. Was the SS or the SS396 emblem used or did all Camaros have the bowtie emblem? I can post pictures of the emblems if needed.
Thank you, James

My very original 68 SS/RS has the deluxe wheel and iit has the little SS emblem. It's a 350 though, not sure about a 396. It shouldn't have the bowtie emblem though.

My RS/SS 396 car just has a SS in the center of the wheel

Thanks for the responses. 7D, what is the build date on your car? I know on the 68 Chevelle SS cars the SS396 emblem was used the first half of the production run and the SS emblem was used the second half. I thought maybe Camaros were the same/

It was built the very last week of Dec. 1967

My old 04A 68 RS/SS 396 with 43k miles had the SS emblem on the shroud... the ss396 emblem was for the chevelle's.

Ditto on my 04C car ... SS on shroud.
