I was thinking of getting the Hooker Aero Chamber mufflers for my '68, the info. that I found on them claim 441 cfm exhaust gases, and are suppose to have a mellow deep tone. I'm looking for a muffler that will give me a few horses and sound good, any words of wisdom from the group??? Any pros or cons on the chambered mufflers???Thanks for any imput.

Yes I thought they sounded good on a 68 camaro I seen last week. They had a flowmaster sound but a little deeper.
I asked the guy what series of flowmaster mufflers he had and he said I dont have flowmasters!
I was like well they sound a lot like the 50 series.
He said no they are hooker aero chamber mufflers http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
Any way they sounded very good http://www.camaros.net/forum/smile.gif
I have heard that any chamber mufflers can give you a little more torque.

I was curious about these mufflers myself...I was considering using them on my 77 nova but have never heard them or talked to anybody that has ever used them. I can get a complete 2 1/4" mandrel bent system with aero chambers for about $225...about $175 cheaper than the 2 1/2" crossflow flowmaster setup. I love the sound of flowmasters but would like something a bit different.
