I have std interior on 69. My 1/4 handles hit on top where chrome trim is. Any thoughts?

You have the old style repro handles I bet. There were 2 factory part numbers used when the car was built. Front and rear are not the same. The new repro handles are very nice and have an offset on the rear pair to clear the trim.

Where can I get the ones I need for the rear?

I got mine from HBC (not necessarily reccommended). Try Ground Up or BelAirBob. They are fairly new so some suppliers may not have them.

I am not supporting HBC, but these are the parts.

Yeah, that's them. And these were used on about a BILLION GM cars during most of the 70"s. Ten minutes in the bone yard should get you a good set. But be sure to snap-up one of those revover tools. Also be sure to get the plastic washers so as not to tear-up the panels.
Edit: a closer look revealed to me that the nobs are wrong. You wan't the nobs that look like tire, not a cone.

Firewheel has some. Can't tell if they have anymore offset than the one's I have though? Are the HBC ones wrong? Will HBC stiff me or what?

fuzzy i had a set of cheap repros on my 69 and the 1/4 cranks hit the trim like yours are. the new ones classic is making do have more offset and they cleared the door panel trim i think you would be happy with them

Oh yeah. Trust me. We're talking 69's, right?! Ok, a confession. I drove my Camaro into the holding port for the jail. (I was the Lieutenant at the time) I popped each window crank of my car and swapped them with a 76 Nova police car. Trust me again, it was only cosmetic.

Are they the "tire" or "cone" type? (See Fred's post above)

Jim won't stiff you. He's a good guy to deal with (I've known him for about 20 years - he started by parting our camaros in by step-brother's backyard). People here don't like him because he sells trim tags. He knows his stuff, though, even if you don't agree with his "restoration ethics."

Ordered them from HBC. They assured me they were correct to fit. Kinda pricey but if they work it will be worth it. Thanks to everyone for the help!

They will fit and work well. They fit nice and tight and won't slip on the serrated shaft like el cheapos do. I wonder about the tire vs. cone in Fred's post above. Can anyone verify this?

My pics show clear, cone-type on the GoldZ we built a while back. I likely still have them at the shop to verify. Those would be the only original 1st gen handles I would have to check since I don't remember the last time I bought any for replacement. Mark's DY Z had the same.

My 70Z and 69GTO both have black cone-type handles on them, and they are original GMs. I know Ive seen the more square, lower profile type Fred is talking about, but don't recall the details as to what they were on/off of or if original GM.
