Just adding some info. I got some PMs here so I know a few plan to come out. Island Dragway - the site of the 1st NHRA 200 MPH run - is in a beautful part of the state.

Sponsors to date: NastyZ28.com (www.nastyz28.com), SLP Performance Parts, Inc. ( http://www.slponline.com/), Edelbrock ( http://www.edelbrock.com/), Year One ( http://www.yearone.com/), Alex Quiles Photography ( http://alexqphoto.smugmug.com/), Jersey Devil Detailing ( http://www.jerseydevildetails.com/), Eastern Grafix (http://www.easterngrafix.com/), Jegs High Performance (www.jegs.com)

Clarification:
Q: Th350/400 OK for street classes? Some LS1 guys are using TH350/400 and want to know if they can run in classes other then outlaw. Per the rules, a "stock style" trans is needed in all classes other the outlaw.
A: Yes you can. Any GM TH auto trans qualifies as stock style. Same rules still apply (ie we don't allow transbrakes).

Should be a good time! I'll be there with the L78 car. Who else is planning on attending?

I just read this post. I may make the trip in my car if I can. I'll have to check my schedule. My car may not be 100% together but I'll cruise it to the show if I have no conflicts. I have a few friends with first gens that may also make the trip.

Bring it!!!

I checked my schedule and it looks like me and my car should be able to make it to the show, weather permitting. Two of my friends should be able to make it with their first gens and will be driving there with me. It's about an hour drive for me. Anyone else from North NJ heading there on Sunday morning? It'd be cool to get a caravan of Camaros going there together. Maybe a few of us could meet up somwhere.

Another cruising picture.......

There is a link in the first post to Island Dragway where it's being held. If you want to Mapquest (or similar) it the address is:

Island Dragway
20 Island Road
Great Meadows, NJ 07838.

You'll probably take the Tappan Zee to 287 South to 80 West to 46 West but you have to check what works best for you.

No, I think the gates open at 11am on Sunday.

That's weird. Their website says both times??? In the "Specialty Events" section for this event it states the gates open at 10:00 on Sunday 8/10 and on the home page for this weekends schedule it says they open at 11:00. I wonder which time is correct. I may have to call and find out for sure.

Crap... Weather.com, AOL Weather and local weather all say possible scattered thunderstorms for Sunday afternoon. That could be a problem for me. Gonna have to monitor the forecast from now until Sunday and keep my fingers crossed. On the plus side the temperature should be just about perfect. Highs in the upper 70's.

The rain killed us. But a lot of cars came out despite the threatening skies. All good folks.
