View Full Version : Stupid Question? Perhaps danimaldds Jul 16th, 08, 04:36 PM What else will change if the car is lowered with new springs? 1" DOUG G Jul 16th, 08, 05:50 PM Rear ? nothing, maybe better handling. Front ? need re-aligned,& better handling. danimaldds Jul 16th, 08, 09:45 PM fronts only. just re align.. great dbx1969 Jul 17th, 08, 03:59 AM fronts only. just re align.. great Actually, your steering geometry will change. With 1" drop, you'll probably be OK with regular length ball joints. But with 2" drop, you'd want to address it. SPARKY69 Jul 17th, 08, 05:29 AM Drop It.. Align Your Front And Go...... danimaldds Jul 17th, 08, 08:12 AM What changes? Camber? prob not toe. Just trying to learn.. 400bird Jul 17th, 08, 05:16 PM It is very likely that your car has some bump steer (from what I have read most 67-69 f-bodies do) then the toe probably will change along with camber and caster. One thing to look at when lowing the car is if the wheel will rub on the wheel well or if you will start scrapping the ground with 1" less ground clearance in the front. I lowered my car 2" all around and scrape the headers and exhaust often, but hey its just exhaust. |
