Hi everybody, what's happnin'

I am looking to change my headlights from non RS to RS. I have non RS fenders. Is there a complete kit for this? Has anyone accomplished and has some part numbers handy? I will go electric on the doors...
Also, do the adapters for the non-RS fenders make the door assemblies mount strangely? If it will look stupid when I am done, I'm not gonna do it until I decide the paint the car, then I'll swap the fenders out...Any help you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated!!

I have the brackets on my factory fenders. I used bolts and nuts to mount them to my fenders. I used lock nuts so they would not come loose. They bolted right up and I had to open up a few holes for the bolts. You will have to tweak them a little for everything to line up. I used aftermarket parts and they look fine with no issues. The hardest part will be drilling and opening the holes for the bell cranks to go thru the fenderwells. I open my door by hand or I usually dont even open them. The lights still shine threw them.

On my 69 which is an RS now it had the doors and such. The bellcranks had been cut, no holes in the inner fenders. Only moved by hand. A team member by the name mark x22 sent me emails with templates for the bellcrank holes. I can't find them presently. Maybe PM him. I will look on my computer at home. If you look in the sticky above there is some instructions on how to convert to electrical headlight doors. I did it similar from some instructions that I got off of ebay (photos and wiring) using headlight door motors off of early 90's new yorker. Works great. Just make sure you have all the proper grill work.

I did it also - not too tough. Took about 2 days, and as said above, a little bending, tweaking and shimming. If you go electric, just delete the vacuum parts from the complete kit. I got my stuff from Rick's First Gen. http://www.rickscamaros.com/

Here is a write-up I did on a homemade elec conversion. It works awesome and is cheap and easy.

If you want the "correct" RS look, don't forget the ass-end.

How are you doing I was doing the same conversion but i bought everything after market dynacorn fenders, classic industries rs headlight assembly and a after market rs grill and it doesn't line up for nothing. I wondering should I use factory gm fenders and then how do I know where to weld the bracket for the rs headlight assembly. If you could help i'll apprciate it thank you
