OK,
I may probably sound stupid my buddy picked a spot between the headers for the temp sendind sensor I have a Dakota digital dash and digital controller.
When I set it up the temp between the two were 2 or 3 degrees will the headers effect the reading. It was reading about 215 degrees when I got home and I could still hold my hands on the radiator....
Thanks in advance Dave......

Dave thats a good question because i have my temp sending unit in the same place right next to the #6 and i think its reading about 10 degrees hot then really is. I will run it next time on the intake up next to the thermostat area.

With the digetal guages you might have the wrong sender in.

I also have it attached to the alternator wire which Dakota says will give false readings.I going to buy a laser Temp gage to check it out.

If you can put your hands on the radiator and it feels warm then its warm. I think your right on the install, but i also tried the laser reading and it gives a different reading at different areas you point it to.

But they also have to have the right sender in it. I read something here on TC about that.
