SIMPLY unbelieveable the amount of car's and people! As if 32 mile's (round trip) wasnt big enough they expanded the length this year another 8 mile's,wont be long it will reach detroit.that is the goal rbanks40 Aug 16th, 08, 08:33 AM I can't emphasize it enough anyone who is involved in this hobby should make the trip to be part of this event. So many cars! WES 1967 yenko clone Aug 20th, 08, 06:52 AM Returned back from Woodward. What a weekend... cars all over the place. One bad point ... the new CAMARO. Last year at Woodward the new Dodge's were splashed everywhere...banners,liights sirens,driving...new camaro parked off to the side .. my thought is instead of telling how great the car is show us ..treat it with respect. Just my rant. Hopefully someone from GM is reading this taking it in. WES:D captcanuck68 Aug 20th, 08, 07:10 AM Returned back from Woodward. What a weekend... cars all over the place. The 427 got 14.5 miles to the gallon.. with the tremac at 75 miles. Words can't explain Woodward WES captcanuck68 Aug 20th, 08, 07:40 AM Hey Wes, were there a lot of Cams in the horde of cars that you saw, and did you stay over? capt WES 1967 yenko clone Aug 20th, 08, 07:56 AM Hey Cap, As far as the new one, seen only one RED wrong red and it was a polished show car not a GM production unit. It was a 600.00 dollar weekend it was just great. Our hotel is 5 mins from Woodward.. And would have to agree with WES, you have to be there to believe it...words cannot describe Woodward. Here is a link to the 1969 Berger Camaro I came across. Now that is a piece of history. http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?p=1049859#post1049859 I would say that most cars I saw were American Muscle with a high proportion being Corvettes. There was also more new Challengers there than have ever seen in one place at a time. The Dodge dealership between Mile 12 and Mile 13 (can't remember the name) had a great setup with old and new all together plus a dozen or so AMC's right smack in the middle. This event was well worth trip..I even saw Chip Foose at the EATON park...the line up was nuts and I had too many cars to go look at to wait for a picture or autograph... |
