After my CS130 swap I needed to replacing my amp meter with a Voltage meter. So, while I had the cluster out I thought I'd add a quick-connect plug so I could easily pull the gauges as a unit in the future.

I found an inexpensive solution was to use a male/female trailer wire extension cable. I cut off a short pigtail for the male side, and left the longer length for the female side. I'm gonna wire it up today. For 6 bucks I was able to create just what I needed.

(and I love my label printer for these wires)

Looks good, if you also go to fry's electronics they carry the really cool nylon woven wire wrap that is black and expandable that is very very similar to the same OE wrap they put on newer engine harnesses like LS1s. I usually heat shrink the ends to hold it where i want it.

Trailer wiring quick connect plug - a very useful piece at times - I don't suppose you're going to put a hitch on your Camaro - I want to - LOL

Great idea!!
I'm a computer geek, and have several old computers laying around.
I used the 4 prong internal computer power jack on my gauges.
Looks the same, just plastic.
