Hello,

My friend is looking at a 69 camaro, the car is labeled RS but it doesn't have the hide away headlights, it has the basic grill.
The tag says X11 on it.

So my question is, how can an X11 car be built?
Is it possible to have an X11 that is also an RS?


Body tag says color is yellow, black interior, black vinil top, v8 car. The car has a 350 in it now and 3 speed auto. Owner says it's not the original motor.

X11 is a trim tag code for RPO Z21 which is the Style Trim Group. It is included with RS (RPO Z22) but could be had on any Camaro. X11 got you roof drip moldings, trim on the quarter panel louvers, the wheel well trim and a bit more...

If the car started life as an RS car and lost it's headlight doors and grill look for the rear backup lights to be below the tail lights, look for a 1" hole going through the firewall by the master cyl, look for vacuum ports on the headlight switch under the dash and look for signs of the headlight washer parts on the wiper motor.
