Anyone have a pic of a factory 69 rear license plate light? My 69 seems to have no provision for one, but I don't know where the factory located them. A wiring diagram would help too, as I don't see a loose pigtail in the trunk or at the back of the tank. Thanks.

The license plate lamp wire will be on the same brown connector as the fuel level sending unit wire. The Sending unit should be a tan wire if i remember right, and the license plate lamp wire will be the darker (brown?) wire. The connector itself is part of your rear lighting harness.

The 69 license plate light is located in the center of the rear bumper above the plate. It snuggles into the black metal support piece. The wire is a brown (not tan) that leads into the trunk and plugs into the rear harness.
