My friend is selling a set of wheels that he had on his '69 Chevelle and if they will fit my 71 Camaro, I will most likely buy them.

The fronts are 17x8 with 4.5" backspacing and 245/45/17 tires
the rears are 17.9 with 5.5 backspacing and 275/40/17 tires

Do you think these will fit on a '71 camaro??

BTW, I now have 15' ralley wheels on now, not sure on the exact specs/backspacing, but the fronts have 235-16-15 and the rears are 255-60-15.

My car is a '71 Camaro with stock type of brakes power front disk and rear drum.
With the new ones I want in the above post, if you don't think they will fit for sure, would some small wheel spacers help out?

The rears must not be 17 X 7, I assume they are 17 X 9 or 9.5. Double check, but if the rears are 9 or 9.5 they will all fit fine.

They will fit like a glove man, perfect tire sizes too.
I'd personally like to see a tad more front b/s but they will work fine,no worries.:noway:

The 2nd gen cars can handle a little less backspace then first gen cars on the front. Where t a 69 we would be looking for 4.75 to 5" backspace depending on what suspension you have.
