Anyone know where you can buy a smog diverter valve for a '69 ss350 Camaro at a fair price? No one seems to produce these reproduction - I think.

No repro's, Ebay or possibly a TC ad. You'll need a 29295 stamping if you've got a SB, 29297 if you've got a BB.

The two are different, but only slightly. I "converted" mine to b/b by twisting the hose bib so that it angled up at about 15 degrees. It was easy to do, without damaging the diverter at all. (little tip from Bill Hodel)

Great tip as long as you don't have the "numbers" disease like I do. :o

I do have the disease with my Yenko Tribute, but that's n area where I used a "conversion". I'm still on the prowl for a correct one, though.

OK, you guys just messed up my day :) I had to go down to the dungeon and look at my smog stuff. I found two valves with 29297(angled) and one with 29298(straight). I have a SS350, so both of these are wrong. What other numbers are on there that I need to know about?

Gary, PM sent. I had to shut to comp down last night early, because of lightning storm. I was talking to a guy in IN that was interested in it (for resale) for a early 69 smog pump, but we could not come to an agreement. But I did find out what the other one is.

I have

29297 - nice, still has a little plating left
29297 - good, plated cover painter black with some rust, missing the muffler
29293 - for a 307,327 69 camaro. I could use this for my SS350 if I dont find a 29295

So what are these worth? :D

29297 valves = $250+ (high side if in good shape)

29295 valves = $150

29293 valves = ? haven't sold one

45607 valves = ~$45

Jeff is a really great guy and I sell a lot of stuff to him!
