I was checking out urethane primers on e-bay and was wondering if anyone has used the following brands. I was thinking of buying some for my car but if possible would like to get some reviews before I spend my money. The brands I looked at are Montana 2k urethane primer and maxx fill and another brand called 5 star. Can anyone tell me anything about these Products? Thanks

dunno about either of those, but I do know about evercoat slicksand. If your looking for a good hi build primer you need look no further than slicksand! You can not afford to skimp on primer, if your primer is bad then anything you lay on top of it will be subject to the whims of the primer.

I would stick with magor brands such as Dupont or PPG.
As mentioned your primer is the foundation and if it fails there goes you paint jod and all your hard work.

Nason is a little cheaper and I have had good luck with it.

I would recommend that you take a look at Southern Polyurethanes products. Great paint with reasonable prices. Support from Barry before and after the sale cannot be beat:

2k is commonally used in NZ for many yrs..last 2 paint jobs I have used with excellent results...like all modern sysytems, do it by the book, no short cuts.
