Ok, I've read all the old posts and still can't seem to find an answer on user experiences with the various Z/28/Pace Car stencil kits.

From what a few have written, they are maybe all made by stencils & stripes and distributed by the various restoration houses. True?

What kits did you use and was the kit complete enough for a first-timer laying out stripes? I'd like to know if they are all the same and, if they are different, which is better? I definately want the stripes to look as factory as possible and don't want them crooked or uneven.

My rear spoiler came off an original RS Z/28 before I painted it years and years ago, and I can still make out the original stripes when looking at it in the sunlight at an angle. So I have those as a reference when laying out the kit. I'm going with Cortez Silver stripes on a lighter blue body as something slightly different.

Any hits/suggestions on the kits and in general?

Thanks!

I've used the stencil kits that Classic Ind sells. I've had 2 sets and they worked great.

Thanks for the replies. What does the stencil consist of? Is tape included?

From the brief description on the site, it only lists a cowl panel stencil and a back panel stencil. Is there a stencil for the header panel and spoiler? Do any kits include a stencil for the hood or do you connect the stencil to measurements?

The description at Stencils & Stripes lists tape and stencils but I can't tell what is really included.

Thanks again.

you get the stencil for the cowl panell and the panel below the rear window, and a roll of striping tape, thats it. You have to apply to stenciles and then line up the tape so they match the stencils and then put the tape on straight all the way down the hood and valence panel, and across the trunk lid. Then you put the spoiler on the trunk and line up the tape already on the trunklid with the tape you are putting on the spoiler.

Note that the hood stripes are not the same width from front to back, and on 69's the left and right stripes are different widths. Do a search on z28 stripe width.
