You know, I didn't really care for the new Camaro, until I saw this video. I saw the prototype at the last few car shows in D.C., and it just didn't do anything for me standing still. But seeing this car actually drive-up, and seeing the interior, I'm starting to like it! Base RS engine is a V-6 with 304 hp - not too shabby!

The jury's still out on whether GM blew it, by being sooooo late to the market with this car. I think the video said 27mpg hwy, so that may help its cause...

I'm sorta opposite - I was blown away at first but the more I see them the feeling is wearing off. (unlike a first gen that snaps my neck every single time, time after time) Hopefully won't be similar to new style Mustang where it seemed over the top at first but now is basically nothing to gauck at. It is a nice design but the only true test of a successful design is to endure over a period of time and can't really apply that test here yet. I do like it though. My fear is that as you get close everything starts looking cheap like the case of the new Mustangs. Hopefully the quality will be better than Ford. Why is taking so long though - they were able to build a rocket ship and send people to the moon in the 60s in shorter time than this new Camaro is taking to show up at a dealership.

The VW beetle, PT cruiser, the "new' Mustang... When they first came out they turned my head every time... but now they're just another car. I wish the new Camaro be as popular and profitable as those three. I wish the Camaro volume on the street was that of a Prowler or Viper but then it won't stay in production long. I hope to have one in my garage.
