Hey guys, I ran into a guy that is selling a 91 camaro he says is a z28 1LE with a 5.7 tpi. Besides the aluminum drive shaft are there any tips you guys could give me about verifying without a doubt that this is a real 1LE?

Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance for your help.

i am not an expert wish i new more also. i believe the disc,breaks are larger on 1le and no air cond and up front where park lights are usually at fresh air to in take is vented in grill. if i am wrong somebody correct me.

inside the glove box in the center console on the lid says,

Thanks for the help guys, I went to look at the car and everything checked out ok. The car is in pretty good condition and has about 140K miles. The seller wants $5,500 for it, do you guys think it's worth the money?

5500 is kinda high for me. Its all in a matter of opinion and needs/wants I guess. Gave 3K for mine and it was a 2 owner car that looked like it rolled off the showroom floor a week prior. Well. now that I mentioned it, that was 10 years ago.....

wow 3k! sounds like you got a steal, especially in the condition you described it.

Depending on condition etc, I would love to purchase a 1LE 3rd gen. 350 motor .. no power windows ....... those cars were made just to GO FAST !!! plus not that many made either.!! google it .

Oh btw I would buy it at 5,500 .. of course I would offer less but be willing to give the 55 if he was FIRM on the price.

WOW one of 478 according to my white book. With out A/C it had HD frt brakes, aluminum drive shaft and spare wheel, special shocks, fuel pick-up and baffle. Fog lamps were removed for weight saving and better cooling. I have to believe it included the stuff that comes on the A/C equipped cars which included 4 wheel discs,oil cooler, and dual cat exhaust.
